Wine and strong drink...

It's 11 o'clock in the morning and I am here at Windies having polished off one rum and coke and seriously considering one more before I leave to put the final touches on this editorial project. Why is it that everyone, the bartender included, is surprised that I am having a drink so "early" in the morning? Does a rum bottle come with a disclaimer saying that drinking before 4 pm is infinitely more hazardous than drinking after?

It's not like I am an alchoholic or anything like that. A couple of rum and cokes and I mellow and that's all I need to find a certain place - one that I don't seek out that often. The last time I got anywhere close to drunk was at my farewell "party" in Tortola when my housemates, three stoned Americans and one British Lothario who just happened to have a bottle of El Dorado 15 year old on him, deliberately set out to intoxicate me so they could get me to take part in the weekend ritual of puffing on the elaborate water bong they had created - my puking after countless beers and shots of rum ended the latter part of that quest.

Right now, I need the mellow of the rum and coke. As if enough wasn't fucked up in my life (SSDD et cetera) my copy of CorelDraw has decided that it's decided to go on strike. I have a backup but I hate when my fucking flow is interrupted - I hate it with a passion. It's like, and if you know me you'd excuse the following metaphor, when you're in the zone and just about to bust a nut (to use the American vernacular for an impending orgasm) and she switches position.

The consequences of CorelDraw crashing? Well, the project gets put on hold for a couple of hours, first of all. That I could deal with since it's fucking Saturday and the printer will probably really get to it only until Monday - gives me more time to obsessively comb the text for whatever mistakes that might have slipped my eye. And I hate hate hate fucking misktaes like that one I just made deliberately to demonstrate the sort of stupid misteaks (another) I hate making.

The big thing with my CorelDraw crashing is that I don't get to go in and tweak the layout of Fictions, something that serves as a sort of therapy for me. It's sad but the only other option I seem to have is rum and coke. It's just dawned upon me that I am the only person here in the bar. Maybe full sajiwang status is not so far down the road after all.

Was this deliberate as well? "has decided that it's decided to go on strike." Couldn't you just say "my copy...has decided to go on strike" Maybe you need me to proof read your editing, (gimme a piece of the pie) unless you have a justification for your redundancy. lol. Hate it nah?

Lol...Picked it up in a re-read. Decided to decide to leave it just because it's interesting how the syntax works.
